I’m finally home, and New York still feels like a dream to me. Everything there doesn’t feel real, yet so attainable – the way the city never sleeps, the way people never stop moving, and the way it is impossible to see everything there is to see in a lifetime. The Metropolitan Museum of Art was sensory overload. The Empire State Building blew my mind. Being with Amy again is always a milestone of how much we have grown and changed over the years. It’s always a reminder of how the best friendships grow as we do; of how intimacy and control cannot go hand-in-hand and how you cannot love people for their certainty alone.
Two days of rest, then go-time again.
